RingCentral Integration
Last updated: August 12, 2026
Airspeed connects to RingCentral through a JSON Web Token (JWT)-authenticated app you create in the RingCentral Developer Console. Once connected, we import your recorded calls, transcribe them, and run them through the same analysis as every other call source.
What you'll need
Create an app in the RingCentral Developer Console using JWT auth, then note its Client ID and Client Secret and generate a JWT credential for the app.
Required permissions
The app needs the following application scopes:
Read Call Log (
ReadCallLog) — so we can find your recorded calls.Read Call Recordings (
ReadCallRecording) — so we can download the recording audio.Read Accounts (
ReadAccounts) — so we can read each user's extension and email to attribute calls to the right rep.
Important: the RingCentral user whose JWT you use must also have the Third-Party App Access (ThirdPartyAppAccess) permission on their role, granted by a RingCentral Super Admin in the Admin Console under Roles. Without it, RingCentral rejects API calls with a CMN-408 error.
Set an email for each user
Make sure every RingCentral user has their email address set on their extension, matching the email they use to sign in to Airspeed. We use the email to import only the right people's calls and to attribute each call to the correct rep.
Connecting in Airspeed
In Airspeed, go to Settings → Organizational → Call recorder, select RingCentral, and paste in the JWT, Client ID, and Client Secret. We'll validate the credentials, and once connected we'll start importing your recorded calls.
