Glyphic Copilot Name
Last updated: April 18, 2026
When the Glyphic Copilot joins a meeting to record it, it appears as a participant with a name you choose. By default it's called Glyphic Copilot; you can rename it to anything that fits your brand or makes more sense to your customers.
Where to set it
- Go to Settings → Organizational.
- Find the recording preferences section.
- Under Glyphic Copilot Name, click Edit.
- Type the new name (up to 60 characters) and click Save.
The change takes effect for any meeting the Copilot joins from that point on. Existing recordings are unchanged.
Naming tips
- Pick a name your external participants will recognize — many teams use their company name plus "Notetaker", e.g. Acme Notetaker.
- Avoid generic names like "Bot" or "Recorder" if you want to reduce the chance of being mistaken for a third-party tool.
- The name shows up in the participant list on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc., and may appear in any recording-consent prompts those platforms display.
Permissions
Only admins can change the Glyphic Copilot Name — the setting lives under Organizational settings.
FAQ
Is the bot name visible to external participants?
Yes. It appears in the meeting participant list on the call platform, the same way any other attendee shows up.
Will renaming the bot affect existing call recordings?
No. Past recordings keep whatever name the Copilot used at the time of the call.
