Calendar Integration
Last updated: April 18, 2026
Connecting your calendar is what lets Glyphic prepare for, join, and process your meetings automatically. Once connected, Glyphic reads your upcoming events to know which calls to record and to generate prep sheets, and uses calendar metadata to match calls to the right Contacts and Companies.
Why connect your calendar
- Automatic recording — based on your recording preferences, the Glyphic Copilot will join scheduled calls without you having to invite it manually.
- Call prep sheets — Glyphic generates a prep sheet ahead of every external meeting so you walk in with context on the people and account.
- Better matching — calendar attendees are used to link calls to the right Companies and Deals in your CRM, especially when call providers (like Zoom) don't pass through participant emails.
- Notifications — call prep emails or Slack messages can be sent ahead of meetings (configurable in Settings → Notifications).
Connecting your calendar
Go to Settings → Personal → Calendar integration and click Connect on either provider:
- Google Calendar — for Google Workspace and gmail.com accounts.
- Microsoft Outlook Calendar — for Outlook 365, Exchange Online, and outlook.com accounts.
You'll be redirected to your provider's consent screen. Approve the requested access and you'll be returned to Glyphic with the integration enabled. Glyphic only requests read-only access to calendar events.
Note: If your administrator hasn't granted you the recording permission, the Calendar integration section won't be available.
Configuring automatic recording
After connecting, click the gear icon next to your calendar provider to open Automatic recording. The toggles control which scheduled meetings the Glyphic Copilot will join:
- Record external meetings — meetings with at least one external attendee. This is the most common setting.
- Record internal meetings — meetings with only attendees from your organization. Off by default.
- Only record meetings I have accepted — meetings that are tentative, declined, or unanswered will be skipped.
- Only record meetings where I am the host — meetings where you're invited but not hosting will be skipped.
The last two toggles only become available once Record external or Record internal is on.
Your administrator can set defaults and lock individual toggles from Settings → Organizational → recording preferences. If a toggle is locked, you'll see a notice and can't change it.
External call recorders
If your organization records calls via Gong or Zoom Cloud Recordings, you don't need to also have the Glyphic Copilot join the same calls. The configuration popup will tell you when an external call recorder is connected; in that case you can leave automatic recording off and Glyphic will pull recordings from the external system.
Disconnecting
To disconnect, open Settings → Personal → Calendar integration and click Disconnect next to the provider. Glyphic immediately stops reading new events and revokes the OAuth tokens. The Copilot will no longer auto-join meetings.
FAQ
Do I need to connect a calendar if our team uses Gong or Zoom Cloud Recordings?
It's still recommended. Glyphic uses calendar metadata to match recordings from external systems to the right Contact, Company, and Deal — especially when those systems don't pass through participant email addresses. Without a calendar connection, attribution can be less reliable.
Will Glyphic see private events on my calendar?
Glyphic only requests events relevant to its operation. Events you've marked private in your calendar are still read for scheduling purposes, but only metadata Glyphic needs (title, time, attendees) is used.
What happens if I change my recording preferences mid-day?
Changes apply to upcoming meetings the next time Glyphic syncs your calendar (within a few minutes). Meetings that already have a Copilot scheduled will respect the new setting at the time the Copilot would join.
Can I stop the Copilot from joining a single meeting?
Yes. Open the Schedule page in Glyphic, find the meeting, and toggle off recording for that one event. See Stop Glyphic from recording an upcoming meeting.
