Strategic Insights
Last updated: April 19, 2026
Strategic Insights is the page where Glyphic charts the values of your Custom Insights across all of your conversations and CRM-tracked deals. It turns the structured fields you defined ("competitor mentioned", "stated pain point", "qualification framework value", etc.) into trends, win/loss correlations, and a clear picture of what your won deals have in common — and what your lost ones do.
You'll find it under Insights in the left navigation (app.glyphic.ai/insights). It uses the same Custom Insights configured at Settings → Insights — there's nothing to set up beyond making sure you have at least a few insights defined and enough call and deal data for the charts to be meaningful.
What you can answer with it
Frequency — how often each insight value comes up across calls, and how that's changed over time.
Win / loss correlation — for each insight value, what proportion of closed deals containing it were won vs. lost.
Patterns in won and lost deals — the values most strongly correlated with closed-won (and closed-lost) outcomes.
Most-mentioned topics — what's coming up most across the period, with a sparkline trend.
Loss reasons — an AI-generated breakdown of why your closed-lost deals were lost.
Filters
The bar at the top of the page filters everything below it:
Date — defaults to the last 12 months. Glyphic auto-picks weekly granularity for ranges of three months or less, monthly otherwise.
Deal amount — restrict to deals within a specified value range.
People — restrict to deals owned by, or calls involving, specific reps or teams.
The header also has buttons for Manage insights (jumps to Settings → Insights), Create new insight (admin only), and Export CSV (exports every chart on the page).
Page layout
The left sidebar is a sticky table of contents. The right side renders one section per chart, in this order:
Deal Loss Reasons
A donut chart showing why closed-lost deals in the period were lost. Glyphic generates loss reasons for closed-lost deals by analyzing call and email content; reasons are clustered into the categories defined for your organization (and into subcategories where you have them).
Click a category to drill into its subcategories. Hover any wedge or row to highlight the deals that landed in that category — hovering also surfaces the underlying deal list as a tooltip.
This section only appears once at least one closed-lost deal in the date range has loss reasons computed.
Most Mentioned Insights
The three insights mentioned most across all calls in the period. Each tile shows the most common value, a sparkline trend, and the total mention count. Click a tile to scroll down to that insight's full chart.
Patterns in won deals
For each insight value, Glyphic computes the percentage of closed deals containing that value that were won. The values with the highest win rates are listed first, so you can see at a glance which discovery findings, qualification answers, or competitor situations correlate most with winning.
To avoid noise from values that appear in only a handful of deals, results below 10% of the most-mentioned value's deal count are filtered out. Click a row to jump to that insight's full chart.
Patterns in lost deals
The mirror image of the above: insight values most strongly correlated with closed-lost outcomes, with the same low-volume filter. Useful for spotting common failure modes — particular pain points that don't convert, competitor presences you don't beat, qualification gaps that recur in losses.
Your insights
Below the summary charts, every Custom Insight in your workspace gets its own card with two views:
Line chart — value frequency over time, broken down by value (e.g. for a "Competitor mentioned" insight, one line per competitor). The legend lets you toggle individual values on and off; the chart updates automatically.
Deal outcome chart — for each value, the won/lost split among closed deals containing that value, sorted by the column of your choice.
Insights that haven't been mentioned within the current filters render an empty card with an explanation. Hover any insight card to reveal a per-insight Export CSV button.
Free-text and numeric insights: AI grouping
Free-text, numeric, checklist, and multi-checklist insights all show up here, but the chart shape depends on the field type:
Checklist / multi-checklist insights are charted directly against their predefined options.
Free-text and numeric insights are grouped into clusters automatically by AI once they've been mentioned on enough calls — Glyphic looks for natural categories in the answers (e.g. clustering free-text answers to "What's the customer's biggest pain?" into themes like "Manual data entry", "Reporting overhead", etc.).
An insight with AI-generated groups shows a sparkle badge labeled "Grouped using AI" next to its title. If a free-text or numeric insight doesn't yet have enough mentions for grouping, the card explains that grouping is pending — keep using it and the chart will populate automatically once there's enough data.
How a value gets onto a chart
Strategic Insights reads from two places, depending on the chart:
Line charts (frequency over time) read the per-call insight values that Glyphic extracts during call processing. Only external, non-private calls associated with at least one company are included.
Deal-outcome and patterns-in-won/lost charts read the deal-level insight values rolled up from the calls on each closed deal in your CRM, joined with the deal's won/lost status, close date, owner, and amount.
So:
If you don't see a chart for an insight, check that the insight is being captured on calls (open Settings → Insights and run a test, or open a recent call's Insights tab).
If line charts are populated but deal-outcome charts are empty, you likely don't yet have closed deals in the date range, or the deals aren't matched to a CRM record. The Deal amount and People filters can also narrow you down to no closed deals — try widening them.
Export
Two export modes:
Page-level Export CSV in the header — exports every chart on the page (line charts, deal outcomes, loss reasons) as a single CSV bundle.
Per-insight Export CSV — appears on hover on each insight card, exports just that insight.
Permissions
Anyone in the workspace can view Strategic Insights. Creating or editing the underlying Custom Insights requires admin permissions; the Create new insight button on this page is greyed out for non-admins.
If the page is empty, see the Custom Insights article for how to define the fields Strategic Insights will chart, and Inspiration for Custom Insights for ideas of what to track.
