User seats and roles

Each member in a Glyphic workspace has a seat and a role. Your seat controls whether you can record calls through Glyphic. Your role controls what you can see and configure.

Seat types

Recording

  • Full recording ability via the calendar integration.

View-Only

  • Can access and browse Glyphic but cannot record calls or connect their calendar.

Roles per seat type

When you assign a seat type, only certain roles are available. Use this table as a quick reference:

Role types

Owner

Owners have full administrative access, including access to the most sensitive settings, like billing.

Admins

Admins have elevated permissions for workspace management and configuration.

  • They have access to organizational and user management settings.

  • 👀 They can view all calls that are not private.

  • 🛠 They have access to all tools (Deals, Companies, Ask Glyphic, Tasks, Activity, Insights).

Users

Recording seat only (see table above).

  • They can configure personal settings, including the creation and management of Quick actions, Insights, and Call tags.

  • 👀 They can view all calls that are not private.

  • 🛠 They have access to all tools (Deals, Companies, Ask Glyphic, Tasks, Activity, Insights).

Viewer

View-Only seat only (see table above).

  • They can configure personal settings, including the creation and management of Quick actions, Insights, and Call tags.

  • 👀 They can view all calls that are not private.

  • 🛠 They have access to all tools (Deals, Companies, Ask Glyphic, Tasks, Activity, Insights).

Restricted

Recording seat only (see table above).

  • They can configure personal settings, including the creation and management of Quick actions, Insights, and Call tags.

  • 👀 They can only manage and view their own calls.

  • 🛠 They have Tasks and Ask Glyphic on a single call.

  • They are unable to use any Glyphic feature that surfaces other people’s calls, including: Deals page, Company page, Insights page, and global Ask Glyphic.

Adding users and assigning seats and roles

Owners and Admins can add people to the workspace from the User management page.

There you can invite new users and set each person’s seat type and role. You can also change seat types and roles for existing members from the same page.

Billing and seat management

Organization Owners can manage subscription seats and account billing from the Billing page.

There you will find:

  • Billing portal — Open your billing portal to view invoices and update payment and billing details.

  • Seats — See how many seats you have purchased and adjust quantities. Seats you add are available immediately; you are only charged for the remaining time in your current billing period (prorated).

Note: If you are an Owner and want to add more seats, but don't see the Billing page, please reach out to support.
