Notifications

Last updated: April 18, 2026

Glyphic can send you several different types of notifications — over email and (if your organization has connected Slack) over Slack. All of them are configured in Settings → Notifications, with each notification type controlled independently. This article walks through what each one does and the choices you have.

Where notifications are configured

Go to Settings → Notifications. You'll see five sections, one per notification type:

  • Call Summary Emails
  • Coaching Summary
  • Call Prep Sheets
  • Task Reminders
  • Mentions

Slack-related options only appear if your organization has connected Slack at Settings → Organizational → Messaging. If your personal Slack identity isn't matched to your Glyphic account by email, an info icon next to the Slack option will tell you so.

Call Summary Emails

An email summary delivered after each call is processed.

Choose when to receive it:

  • Participant — send to anyone from your organization who was on the call. (default)
  • Host — send only to the meeting host.
  • None — never send call summary emails to me.

The summary contains the recap and key moments of the call, with a link back to the full call page in Glyphic.

Coaching Summary

A weekly digest of your coaching insights — what's going well, what to work on, and example calls — designed to help reps and managers keep improving.

  • Email — receive the summary by email.
  • Slack — receive it as a direct message in Slack.
  • Cadence — currently weekly.

Email and Slack are independent toggles — you can pick either or both.

Call Prep Sheets

An automatically generated prep sheet sent ahead of upcoming external meetings, summarizing past calls, the company, and open questions.

  • Email — receive the prep sheet as an email.
  • Slack — receive it as a Slack DM.
  • Reminder Period — choose how far in advance the prep sheet is delivered (e.g. 30 minutes before the call).

If both Email and Slack are off, no prep sheet is sent. The Reminder Period dropdown is greyed out in that case.

Task Reminders

A reminder of your open tasks at a fixed time of day.

  • Email — receive the reminder by email.
  • Slack — receive it as a Slack DM.
  • Enable on weekends — when off, reminders are only sent Monday through Friday.
  • Reminder time — pick the time of day, in your local timezone, when the reminder should arrive.

If neither Email nor Slack is selected, no reminder is sent.

Mentions

Notifications when a teammate mentions you in a comment on a call (for example: "@you take a look at this objection").

  • Email — receive an email when you're mentioned.
  • Slack — receive a Slack DM when you're mentioned.

Slack notifications — quick checklist

For Slack notifications to reach you:

  1. An admin must have connected Slack in Settings → Organizational → Messaging.
  2. Your Slack workspace email must match your Glyphic email.
  3. Each notification type must have its Slack checkbox enabled.

If anything is off, the info icon next to the Slack option tells you which step is missing.

FAQ

Will Slack notifications go to a channel or to me directly?

Personal notifications (the ones in this article) are always sent as direct messages from the Glyphic Slack app to you. Posting call summaries to a shared channel is a separate organization-wide feature, configured per channel in Settings → Organizational → Messaging.

Why is the Slack option greyed out for me?

Either Slack isn't connected at the org level, or your Slack email doesn't match your Glyphic email. Hover the info icon next to the Slack option to see which.

Why didn't I get a call prep sheet for a meeting?

Prep sheets are only sent for external meetings (with at least one external participant). If the meeting had no external attendees, or Glyphic couldn't yet match attendees to a Company, no prep sheet is generated. Make sure your Calendar integration is connected.
